U.S. Copyright law requires that all videos displayed outside of the home, or at any place where people are gathered who are not family members, such as in a school, library, auditorium, classroom or meeting room must have public performance rights. A license is required for all public performances regardless of whether admission is charged.

Full payment should be made within 7 business days after completion of service. If a GSU student organization or GSU department fails to meet financial obligations, the event contact(s) organizing the event will be financially responsible for these charges.

Cancellation of event should be completed 7 calendar days prior to the event date. Fee of $75 will be applied for cancellation notice fewer than 7 calendar days. 

Georgia State University Student Organization $25/hr or $175/day
Georgia State University Department $50/hr or $350/day
External clients $100/hr or $500/day
*Day rate applies if the rental is 5-8 hours. If the rental is over 8 hrs, then the rental would be the daily rate in addition to hourly rates per each additional hour. Eg: 10 hour rental for a Georgia State University Student Organization would be $175(8 hrs) +$50(2 hrs)=$225(10 hrs)

Client is responsible for all personal items of client’s guests. Cinefest Film Theatre shall not be liable for missing, lost or stolen items.

Outside food and beverage are not allowed inside the venue without permission . Cinefest Film Theatre provides concession that is available to be purchased throughout the event. 

If planned & applicable with the approval of Senior Director of Student Center Operations, a client hereby agrees that only the licensed concessionaire contracted will serve alcoholic beverages to only persons aged 21 or older. Client agrees that none of their guests shall bring alcoholic beverages to Cinefest Film Theatre. The licensed concessionaire reserves the right to confiscate and remove from the event any and all alcoholic beverages brought to the venue and in addition can refuse service to anyone that appears to be over intoxicated.

If rental time begins or ends outside of the Student Center West hours of operations the cost is $50/hr and the request must be made 3 weeks in advance of the event.

Security is provided by GSU Police Department. The price is $40 per officer per hour with a minimum of 4hrs. The need for security at your event is determined by Cinefest Film Theatre.
